I grew a peach tree even though my climate isn't quite right and it ended up with a fungal disease. But for a few wonderful years, I had the most lovely peaches. I was told the peach should practically fall into your hand, no pulling required. Those were the absolute best!

The best FGTs in the greater Chas area are at the Glass Onion on Savannah Hwy (in West Ashley). You can even take home an extra pint of their house-made pimiento cheese (also the best in town).

Here's some comments on your comments: In baseball you don't run with the bat. You drop it after you hit the ball because you don't need it any more and you can run faster without it. It is not like rounders. That is a game played by children. In Major League Baseball, the pitcher can throw the ball at 100 miles per hour and the hitter sometimes hits it 400 feet in the air. I pretty sure they don't do that in rounders. As for the numbers on the score board, for the particular batter up to bat they typically show: Avg: The batting average - the number of hits divided by the number of times up to the plate (excluding some things like walks and reached on error) RBI: Runs Batted In - the number of runs they scored by hitting the ball including the men on base at the time HR: Home Runs - the number of times they hit the ball over the outfield wall You can tell how good the hitter is from these numbers and what kind of hitter he is (avg vs power) These are just for this particular time up to bat: B: 4 Balls and the batter goes to first base (walK) S: 3 Strikes and the batter is out O: 3 Outs and the half inning is over and the other team bats You kept saying that it was 5 to 5 when the Cubs were ahead 1 to 0. What you want to look at for each team is: R - Runs, the score of the game and the only real thing that counts H - Hits, the nunber of times a player hit the ball and reached base successfully E - Errror, the number of defensive errors that the team made which allowed the other team to reach base or advance The reason they are cheering is that the batter got a hit and is on base and is that much closer to scoring. Sort of like when someone kicks the ball at the goalie in soccer and something has to happen either a goal or a save but in baseball the tension remains for much longer until the inning is over instead of being over in a second. A proper Chicago dog is an all-beef frankfurter (such as Vienna Beef) in a poppy seed bun, topped with yellow mustard, neon-green sweet pickle relish, chopped white onion, tomato slices, a dill pickle spear, pickled sport peppers and celery salt. Georgian here the best way to get peaches is to go to stall on the side of the road. They have the best peaches you will ever get. Yes we still have them in our grocery stores. But they don’t taste as good as the ones you get fresh from farmer stands on the side of the road.

That peach wasn't ripe enough - a fully ripe peach will ooze juice and fall right off the pit when you bite into it. Food of the gods. nothing better than a truly ripe peach!

When i was a kid i read about Sawney Bean and his family. I always wondered if you could see the cave his family lived in. And Bruce and the spider is also a story i remember reading. It was so long ago i read that story i didn't connect it to Scotland. The videos you showed of the countryside were beautiful. The devils pulpit area was something else.

I will say that in any population of men there are the ones that are just not as great as all the others. Mostly personality problems like being a jerk. But some populations have a higher percentage of jerks. Now i have made myself sad. I would rather think about the good guys.
